Titles

Titles changes the display name you see in LaunchNext. It does not rename the actual app bundle.

Why Use This Tab

• Shorten long app names
• Standardize naming style across your pages
• Add context suffixes like Work, Dev, or Personal

Important Behavior

Custom titles persist across:

• data imports
• language changes
• app restarts

Typical Workflow

1. Click Add application to add a target quickly from picker.
2. Use search to find the app row.
3. Click Edit.
4. Enter a custom name.
5. Click Save.

Useful Controls

• Show only application with edited titles
• Search field for fast filtering
• Reset to restore default display name

Save Rules

Save stays disabled when:

• the draft is empty
• the draft matches the original value exactly

Naming Tips

• Prefer short names for keyboard navigation
• Use consistent suffix patterns for similar apps
• Avoid duplicates if you rely on visual scanning

Troubleshooting

I changed a title but do not see it on grid

1. Confirm you edited the correct app path entry.
2. Refresh the grid or switch pages once.
3. Check Hidden Apps in case that app is filtered out.
