Performance Settings

Performance mode

LaunchNext supports two engines:

• Compatibility Engine: the older compatibility path
• Next Engine: the recommended lower-memory path

Changing mode triggers a restart prompt in settings.

Renderer

• Next Engine With Core Animation is available under Next Engine
• Core Animation renders the main grid and folder grids
• Folder rendering supports paging, vertical scroll, and smoother drag interactions
• If artifacts or interaction glitches appear, turn Core Animation off first

Cache management

The panel shows:

• Last cache update
• Cache validity status
• Icon cache count
• App info cache count
• Grid layout cache count
• Total cache size

You can clear caches directly from this section.
