Backup and Restore
Backup Location
LaunchNext data lives under:
~/Library/Application Support/LaunchNext/Data.store
Backup Workflow
In Settings > Backup:
- Choose a backup folder
- Create backup
- (Optional) select one or more backups and delete
Backups are stored as:
LaunchNext_yyyy-MM-dd_HH.mm.ss.launchnext
Each backup folder includes Data.store.
Restore Workflow
Use Import on a backup entry to restore from that backup.
You can also use the generic Import Data flow and choose what to import:
- Layout and data
- General settings
- Appearance settings
- App sources
- Hidden apps
- Title customizations
Cleanup Command (Advanced)
Backup section provides a copy button for an SQLite cleanup script that runs checkpoint + cleanup + vacuum on Data.store.
Use it only if you understand the impact and keep a backup first.
